There's a lot packed into My Favs, all surrounding its
main purpose - to let you call, text, or email a favorite contact quickly.
Most of the time you'll find yourself on a screen like the one on the right.
To add contacts to a group, turning them into a favorite, use the
Contacts button, on the lower left, to pick a person from your address book.
You'll be taken to the Contact Detail
Screen where you can call, text, or email that person, or add them to
your favorites.
Up to twelve favorites can reside in a group. A single tap will initiate
the currently active contact mode, highlighted on the bottom bar, for the
selected favorite. Changing the active contact mode is done with a single
tap and sets all twelve favorites. If a favorite has no selection for the
contact mode, their image will be dimmed and the label for that mode will be
blank.
Double tapping a favorite will take you to the
Favorite Detail Screen, shown below.
There you can access other phone numbers or emails, jump to the address book
entry to get other information or make changes. You can also change your
selections for each contact mode or move the favorite to another page.
Whether you are adding a new favorite or updating an existing one, the
Favorite Update Screen is where you
make your selections for each contact mode. You may select one phone number
for calls, one for texting, and one email address for mail messaging. While
you can only add a favorite to one group on this screen, you can add them as
many times as you need (like a home entry and a work entry on the same page,
or a My Favs! group and family group) so you get the perfect combination of
contact modes at your finger tip.
When you need to just dial a number to call or text, no need to run back
to the iPhone's dialer, just use the Dialer Screen
built into My Favs. After typing your number you have a few options, make a
call, send a text, or add that number to your address book. The Dialer also
keeps track of the last 5 calls/texts you've made, making it easy (a single
tap) to retrieve the number and use it again.
Switching to another group of favorites is fast - just scroll right or
left if they are nearby, use the Quick Jump
Screen to get to the more distant groups. The Quick Jump Screen is also
your path to editing group names, their order, adding groups, or
reordering/deleting the members of a group.

Favorite Detail Screen
Almost identical to the Contact Detail Screen, there are a few key
differences.
First, you reach this screen by double tapping a favorite.
Second, when the screen appears, the labels of any phone numbers
or email addresses will be colored green if you have selected them
for this favorite.
Third, in place of the Add button there is an Update button,
which takes you to the Favorite
Update Screen where you can change your selections.

Favorite Update
Screen
If you arrive at this screen from a favorite you will see which
choices are set for that favorite, otherwise all of the choices will
be unchecked.
To add or keep a favorite you must have one contact method and a
group selected before you can save your selections.
You may move favorite to a new group that is open for members by
just selecting the new group.

Dialer Screen
The dialer is pretty simple, but does have two features
you get to by touch without any buttons. The first is the swipe to
clear feature, where you can clear out the entered number by just
swiping across it.
The second is a recent call list, which you bring up by
tapping in the displayed number area. You will get the 5 most recent
calls or texts when you bring the list up. If you select a
recent number while one is in the display, it will be replaced.
If you want to add a number to your address book, just use the
Add button. You will have a choice to add the number to another
contact or create a new one. If you want to make this new person a
favorite, head back over to the Contacts button on the main screen.

Quick Jump Screen
Perhaps the fastest way to get to another group, just tap the one
you want and off you go. If you have more than 12 groups, you can
scroll to the group you want. Also, when you have 12+ groups, the
list will always appear with the current group in the scroll window.
The Edit button takes you to the screens that allow you to change
the order of the groups or edit an individual group name. You can
also reach the edit screen for an individual group to reorder or
delete that group's members.

Edit Groups Screen
When you first enter the screen you do three things, add a new
group, move onto the group members screen by selecting the group, or
edit the groups list.
When you are in Edit mode, you can delete a group, even with
members in the group. If there are members in the group you wish to
delete, you will be given a warning and need to confirm your choice.
You WILL NOT delete the favorite(s) from any other groups or your
address book.
You can rename the group by selecting the blue and white detail
disclosure button. It is also possible to reorder the groups by
dragging them to the row you want.
Lastly, if you want to add a group during the Edit mode, just tap
the "+" button.

Group Members Screen
When you first enter this screen you will see a list of all of
the group members and your selections for each one. You have two
things you can do with members here, delete or reorder them.
In Edit mode deleting a favorite will not delete them from other
groups or this group if they appear more then once, and they are not
deleted from the address book. Reordering is simple, just drag the
favorite to the row you want. As a reminder, favorites are display
left to right, top to bottom. So the first four favorites display on
the first row of your group screen.
